juan: I never sing those lines, but I don't think it's because I'm self-censoring. I just can't do them justice. Pretty damn glad now though, that I didn't sing them to her.

This shot me right out of lurking, so precious. I loved The Pogues when I was around her age. I remember my dad would play that album over and over, back when it was new, and I can still play it now and just remember every song. Not was well as Juniper, mind you.

That is AWESOME! What a wonderful and quirky thing to sing to her! Beats the crap out of Twinkle Twinkle that I sing...
Though anymore, we improv that and make up all new words to Twinkle.
Sparkle Snurfle Little Eyeball
How I wonder what you kneecap
Up above the armpit so high
Like a bellybutton in the sky
Snapple Dawdle little chin
How I wonder what you eyebrow.
Evidently that is hilarious when you're four.
Merry Christmas to all of you, good health, happiness, and much sleep do I wish for you all in 2008.

as I played Juney's video, all my boys came over to the computer to see who was singing. that's amazing. you need to start reciting The Wasteland at bedtime.
and "I could have been someone/well, so could anyone" is my very favorite duet exchange.
I saw the Pogues in a small concert hall around this time, near the end. I never got over Spider Stacey.

I've always loved that song - that you use it as a lullaby and that Juniper knows all those words just makes it even better. I didn't get to see this post until today, I hope you guys had a lovely christmas. It's my birthday today (and Steven's too) - this has made our day!

That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen... now my daugher (who will be 3 next month) wants me to play that song - and she was waving to Juniper as Juniper sang the song. Well done! Make sure she doesn't get into the whiskey too soon, it will ruin her career.

Jim! I clicked on this clip not realizing what song Juney was singing but my attention was grabbed immediately. Did she just say: 'drunk tank'??? I listened all the way through and, jaysus me laddie, if I didn't truly believe she must be singing a Pogues song. And I was right! Good work, Jim, good work. Happy New Year to you and yours. Wood is truly beautiful sitting there in the background with that huge grin on her face.
