Interesting development on my college situation. Depending on what my Viola teacher has to say on the subject, it looks like it's still a possibility that I'll be going next semester.

Science writing sounds like a wonderful way to blend you love of sciences with your love of writing. Brilliant plan. If you can take this on the road (have laptop, will travel), travel, write, research as you travel, write...)and get paid to do so, more power to you!
