I'm right-of-center, Jason. Have been for some time now. Doesn't mean I agree with everything right-of-center.
I'm not shilling for Vince; he and I have our disagreements on some issues. But I'm damned glad he's given parts of his on-air time to the causes we do sync-up on. I haven't heard Chuck Booms extoll the virtues of Doug Burlison's budget proposal, and the Friday N-L piece was pretty unreadable.

Oh yeah...Chuck Booms doesn't touch local politics at all (and that's a shame because it's always good to have more than one voice broadcasting on local issues.) I thoguht Overstreet's piece was a very good one. Doug's been more than open to talk about it as shown by the interview he did for my site about the whole issue.

Well, there ya go.
Look, like I said, I have to keep lines open to the local press. I got along with Tony Messenger, and he and VDJ do not see eye-to-eye at all. And I do believe I've said a kind word about Tony here and there in the N-L forums.
Just as VDJ and I do not see eye-to-eye on everything, as I also mentioned. But when we're sympatico on an issue, y'damn right I'm gonna toss the acknowledgements around.
I can't deny my leanings, which is libertarian with a right-of-center twist. Some of my compatriots have a more leftist-flavored libertarian view, and we do allow some wiggle room in these departments. Doesn't mean I'm going to start cheerleading for Rush Limbaugh, though. [Not that he doesn't occasionally stumble into the liberty woods on occasion, but it is quite rare.]
Think of how Dennis Miller has moved away from being the typical hard-core lefty, and how he hasn't swung the whole way into Michael Savage territory but does have some newer reassessments of how he views the scene. That's where I'm at. I used to think socialism was a good idea, Jason. I learned my lesson on that issue.
Have a government-approved day.

Yeah, I'm very much in the Dennis Miller camp on things. He's doing an excellent job with his show. I'd love to see him take on (and take out) Bill Maher in a debate. It wouldn't even be close.
And please don't start being a cheerleader for Rush Limbaugh. I have a feeling your legs would be scary to see.

Glad we got that sorted out, Jacke.
No, I'm sitting out this season. I'm going to be helping others with their campaigns. Public office doesn't need the likes of me, as I'd be booted out the door for telling other politicians just how screwed up they are. Mwahaha.
