I know many of the "sniffle and run" group. Both male and female. I will argue that one should see their doc for a regular check up once a year. Preventative maintanence so to speek. You would not wait til your car broke down on the Deerfoot before taking it to a mechanic would you?
On the matter of Eddy, I agree 100%. Lets judge them on the way they perform rather than speculation, roots, color, sex ect... The opposition and the media are way of base on this one.
Tim- I see your point about the car. But cars are somewhat more finicky aren't they? But that's why I also said "Or if you think there is something potentially wrong with you". As you get older,(50+) sure, once a year is fine. If you don't have that much mileage on the ol' chassis, do you really need to take it in to the shop for an overhaul so to speak, every six months?
Okay maybe my example was not that great...lets change it up a bit...you would not drive your car for years without changing the oil would you? Preventative maintanence. There are some things our body's won't tell us in advance. Every six months would be a bit much, every year or so would not bother me. I know its been a very long time for myself. I use to have to get one done every year to keep my class one licence and that was a pain too. They have changed it now to every five years.

What's a doctor? ... haven't seen one in years. Your right though. So many people take advantage of the system, and that's why 46% of our taxes go to that monopoly. If we were able to keep that 46%, and make our own choices, you would see a far more efficient system.
P.E.S. better choose the right person for the the job.... period. If the lefties don't like it, they have 9 other provinces to choose from.

I'm a bit of an exception regarding visits to the doctor; I probably don't get to a doctor often enough. I detest hospitals and waiting rooms because you usually pick up something from someone else sitting there coughing germs all over the place!
