Voice of the Spirit Calls!

Gravatar Ugh. I know the feeling of burnout well. I'm so sorry you're feeling all this stress and pressure. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know... like if you need me to proofread anything, that sort of thing. I don't have a newsletter or anything to churn out anymore, so I have oodles and oodles of time you know.

Keep plugging away... I know you can do this.

That is a very kind offer! I may just do that. A second set of eyes is always helpful.

Gravatar I know the feeling well. Trying to get a critique and an article summary written and 200 pages of reading done by Monday. I may die.

Ah, a kindred spirit. I needed Ellen to talk me down off the edge of quitting. She's a good woman. Hang in there!

Gravatar I know you won't give up Vince, but I understand the pressure. A day at a time and plugging along as best you can without asking too much of yourself seems in order. Hopefully you got your bike this weekend? *fingers crossed*

Ellen was kind enough to talk me off the edge and I'm good again. As you said, day at a time.

Unfortunately, my bike won't be here until Tuesday

Stupid Fedex is being slow.

Gravatar Hang in there, Vince. It will be worth it! I so envy your bike!

Right now I'm on the upswing. I'm getting work done, and it's not so daunting. This is going to be some roller coaster ride!

Gravatar Once you get your bike and get a few riding sessions in, you're going to find you need that time, that it's addicting to do it, but in a good way.

I found that out by starting to walk some--when my parathyroids shut down due to my surgery and deprived my body of calcium I started worrying about osteoporosis down the road and the only weight-bearing exercise I can do is walking, so since it was the only choice, it's the one I started on. Now, when the weather's bad enough that I can't go, I get a little antsy and feel slightly deprived of "me time" and "my treat" for the day.

But since it's all in a good way, look forward to it. It'll be good for you in a lot of ways.

Having that personal time to get rid of stress is great. I can't believe what a difference 30 mintues in the gym can do to turn around a bad day.
