Voice of the Spirit Calls!
I got totally distracted through this entire post because I read hemorrhages and it translated into my brain as hemorrhoids. And I was all, "Huh, I don't remember mention of hemorrhoids in the Bible anywhere..."
OK. Now that I'm in the same book as you...
One of my struggles is getting caught up in the details and along with that, not having a servant's heart. I just want people to follow the rules, and there's always someone who doesn't. I always try to remind myself that this, this life, this day, this irritation is not a forever thing. It helps ... doesn't make irritations go away, but it helps put it in perspective.
Perspective can go a long way toward changing attitude. I know, because I work on it every day.
I'm not as much a rules kind of guy, but a routine kind of guy. Mess with my routine, especially in the morning, and I go out of my mind. It's one of many things I need to work on. But, as you said, it isn't forever. We just keep going.
My motto: Be the cream. I try so hard to rise above, to be more patient, to be a good role model for others. The day to day little annoyances can really wear me down. I think you are doing a wonderful job of raising your children, being a great husband, and following your heart : )
It can be hard at times to rise above. Very hard. I much appreciate your confidence in me. I don't always feel it myself. Thanks.
I don't know of any other place I can go that will bless me with healing and inner peace the likes my faith brings me. There were times when nothing could ease the hurt, and He has never let me down.
Although I care greatly, I won't worry about you Vince, I know that whether you need emotional, physical or spiritual healing you walk the right path to find it ~ always.
As for the hemorrhoids, I confess that's the very first thing I thought it said too!
