Winning playoff series is over-rated. The true measure of greatness is in not losing them. And the Leafs have been dominant lately -- they're undefeated in the post-season in four years, with no signs of the streak ending any time soon.

Taking it a step further with Sundin, he was only actually in the lineup for four of the seven wins. The Leafs beat the Islanders once and the Senators twice with Sundin injured for the deciding games.
Maybe that's a good omen for the Sens?

Maybe it's just the Miller's that I've been sipping on this afternoon but doesn't this post say a ton about the reality of the Sens vs the perception?
And it's not like the Sens have a better record than the Leafs over that time - I think the wins over that 14 year period are just 9 more for the Sens.
Fuck it.
Sens have as much chance to win the cup as any team in the playoffs. Umm, no, I won't give you those odds.

If recent Senators history tells us anything, it is that they can't play too well with Alfredsson out of the line up.
This pleases me, because it means that there is a good chance my Sens fan friends will shut up in about two weeks.

If recent history tells us anything, it's that they need more than just Alfie to find another level to win. Aside from being an obvious detriment to the team, his early absence could also be the catalyst for a cup win.

If Boston (down 2-0 right now) does not win, Washington (tied 1-1) MUST lose.

Does McCabe know that the no-movement clause doesn't cover your fighting technique?

Hammer loves watching Tucker and McCabe get hammered. Can anyone on that team win a fight?
Not just a physical fight but a fight to get into the playoffs as well.

So we're playing the Caps? Fuck. We've played them SOOO well this year, even before they turned into the team of destiny.

I don't think we know who we play yet.
Either Pit or Wash. Pit if Philadelphia wins. Wash if it goes to OT or Pit wins.

Pretty sure Pitts is gonna be happy to play Philly, plus they're better rested.
DC's right -- it doesn't matter anyhow. Habs would've been nice.

Well we've already beat the leafs in "their Stanley Cup" so anything more would be gravy.

I thought Cherry's take on the Bell hit was quite telling.
He felt "funny" about the hit because of the cage thing he had on.
In other words if Cherry wasn't a leaf fan he would have called Bell a pussy!
No mention of the crowd's reaction...I wonder if he felt funny about them too?
