So, we can probably assume that Alfie can be a free agent after next season, right? He's played 70 and over a point a game 5 seasons in a row.

'Alfredsson signs with Canadiens' would be the most hilarious headline ever.

"Maple Laughs haven't played a playoff game for 4 years!!!"
Personally, I think that would be the most hilarious headline ever...
...wait a second, didn't I just see that???

If you Sens fans are going to keep including the lockout in that stat then I denounce Ottawa's 11 years in a row stat!

The sens' stat bridges the lockout. The Leaf's is bookended thereby.

Alfie will keep playing with the Sens as long as they will have him. When Spezzley signed their big contracts, Alfie said he had no plans to renegotiate his. I think he realizes getting paid almost $4-mil/yr to play a game is pretty good money.

Pens. Looks like they threw it, but I'll take them over the Caps right now.

We match up worst against both the Caps and the Pens, but in spite of the regular season record I would have taken the Caps. I can't see the Sens getting by them again, not the way things have been going.
But if by some miracle they can...
there's no reason they couldn't run the table in the east.

For my money that's true of pretty much everyone. Save perhaps for the Bruins -- or maybe Philly -- getting to the Finals, pretty much nothing would be a surprise in the East. I could see the Sens losing in 5 or winning three rounds.
The West, though, I'd be pretty surprised if any of the bottom feeders go deep. San Jose and Detroit are the clear leaders, with Dallas and Anaheim looking good too.
Everyone else should be grateful with the playoff revenue.
