Good move by Hitchcock! Spezza loves to do all them fancy moves but they almost always amount to nothing! Lesson to be learned here Spezza, me boy: Don't f*ck around. Play simply hockey. He should be demoted to 3rd or 4th line within the Sens too. *shakes head* Spezza is right up there with Redden and Mezaros in regards to giveaways.

I do. Great captain and great player. But if the team is truly rebuilding and since Mats is a year or two away from retirement at best, will he really impact the future of the club if the goal to to get competitive 2-3 years down the road? Hard decisions need to be made. If the new GM wants to try and pull a Philly and get back to competitive hockey in a year, than Mats is essential. We'll see who takes the reins...
