is it too late to give you the recipe for my awesome corn pudding? box of jiffy cornbread mix, 8 oz. tub of sour cream, stick of melted butter, can of regular corn, can of cream corn. mix it all together, and add a layer of shredded cheddar if you desire. bake at 400 for 45 minutes to an hour. pure southern heaven.

I love doing pot-lucks! We have 2 other couples that we do that with once a month. Whoever hosts it at their house does the main course, and the other 2 couples bring an appitizer and a dessert. And we rotate the next month. It's alot of fun.

i've found the minutiae of your day-to-day existence to actually be interesting and even enlightening- at times.
i work in a deli and we offer some things that you might find unpalatable, however. for instance, have you ever tried beef tongue or a whole smoked whitefish or have you ever gotten a whiff of chicken livers being boiled ( i think they boil them ) ?
i also enjoyed the streetcar named desire reference and i imagine that if blanche dubois were living right now that she would be so wrecked on prozac and zoloft that she would be rendered as bland as oatmeal and tennesee williams would have had to write about someone named Courtney or Alexandra who'd maybe visited one too many raves back in the mid-nineties and was now washed up on the shore of moving back in with the parents-one of whom is undoubtedly on anti-depressant meds and seriously contemplating turning their daughter on to said meds. or maybe not.
