Tom,
If a private sector service industry had a CEO with such poor ratings among his stockholders, he would find himself standing on the sidewalk with his portfolio in hand.
Congress is a service industry. Its service is supposed to be good governance on behalf of the electorate. They do provide a service though, to special interest lobbyists and PAC's.
May the names of the most corrupt fade from our history shortly after they depart from office.

Cute, but there's a lot in there needing correction.
Senator Cornyn is more likely concerned that an activist willing to bloviate racist remarks about dissimilar people's capacities, and willing to brag jokingly and openly about the appellate system's defacto acquisition of legislative power, might do to the supreme court what Obama's executive branch is doing to the Constitution.
I read Carter's full "Crisis of Confidence" speech. There is much within it that would seem wise. Perhaps the "special interest" democrats who squashed domestic energy efforts in the U.S. for the last 30 years should have listened to him on that part.
Then again, most of Carter's conclusions on HOW to achieve things he wanted long-term hurt us more than helped. At least perhaps he had good intentions, which is more than we can say for Barry of Kenya.

Wrong, Tammy. Shareholders have very little power since they are not organized. AIG's shareholders did nothing to stop the company paying bonuses to the people who lost the company and left the shareholders with nothing.
Bob, I wonder why Sen Cornyn failed to mention the concerns which you ascribe to him.
I can understand your problems with Carter's speech. Among the right wing responsibility for one's actions is as popular as family values is to John Ensign.

Hmmmm...engagement not representative of your intellect, IMO.

You don't want that battle.
