We must never forget there is primary blame and secondary blame.

The military system? secondary blame
Psychological stress? secondary blame

The man who pulls the trigger to kill/maime 32 people? primary blame

When will America wake up and face the fact we are in an ideological battle on our very own soil?

Gravatar All he had to do was refuse to go. That has been done before. It works.

He was filled with hate and had a hissy-fit with an automatic weapon.

Islam does not teach the Golden Rule. It teaches violent retaliation.

Allah had many despicable tortures for any who deny Muhammad's authority.

Obama called Islam a noble religion that has enriched civilization. lol

Gravatar I am so glad this guy survived. He will have to sit and await the inevitable fate. This was nothing less than a terrorist jihad. This guy had red flags flying all over the place, yet the Army got him through his clinical rotations and sent him to deploy. This guy was as crazy as an outhouse rat. And he was a PSYCHIATRIST? I guess the old saying, "you are what you eat" applies here. I have no doubt he had planned to do this for some time now. I have no doubt he was a radical muslim (little m). We will spend the money to give him a fair trial. We will give him his appeals. Then we will kill him. My only regret is that we cannot kill him by paper cuts or some other horrifying death. As you can see, I am very upset at this. It is 9/11 all over again as far as I am concerned. But this time, the SOB survived. Now its our turn.

Gravatar One other thing. In Christianity, our brothers and sisters always say that "God has a plan". Well, so does Satan and his troop of fallen angels. When one considers the Angels numbered thousands upon thousand, and 1/3 fell with Satan, we must remember that there are a lot of hands on deck. We saw what Satan can do yesterday. I must pray tonight to ask forgiveness for my hatred, but barring a miracle, I think it is a lost cause that I can embrace Islam with loving outstretched hands any time soon.

Gravatar My thanks to all for being willing to post in the free speech zone today.

*I am also grateful for the blog reader from New York who just called to see if I was doing o.k. in light of an attack on a base facility.

Gravatar This was a senseless, monstrous act, committed by an apparently very troubled man.

My sympathies go the the families, friends, and collegues of the fallen; words are inadequate at times like this.

Gravatar Let me add my final note here:

Life begins at conception. Science verifies the fact. When a pregnant woman is murdered, please add a numerical count of "one" to the death toll of this massacre. I had the distinct privilege of entertaining dialogue with the legislative sponsor and reading the initial draft of our fetal protection act in Texas, which allows assessment of penalties for the death of a fetus in the commitment of a crime. The bill came about because of a poignant letter by a grandmother to her state representative who had received the two-for-one special because of the crime of murder.

Finally, I will take you into the world of my briefs (One man is too kind, and referred to them as "white papers") on geopolitical Islam on Monday. In light of the event at Fort Hood, the sloppy journalistic attempts to spin the event, I will allow you to tinker at the edges of my thoughts on the Monday blog. I will post a preface to the thoughts on a Sunday post.

Gravatar Thank you, Tammy, for keeping it cool. But that could have been you there. You do realize that it was a station full of medical people, right? It easily could have been you. Forgive me for having a bad moment here, but I am intolerant of the "peace loving, compassionate" muslims . (The "m" was purposely put in lower case).

I realize that he is the president and has to say things to cool off the world, just like President Bush did, but Obama's Message did not come across very well to me. Here is the link.

Gravatar Jeff,

My words will be restrained in the next two blogs, the restraint I have learned which comes with military training and rank. But my speech will be straightforward and speak what I believe to be the truth.

Truth is needed. There will be no spin on "diversity", "patriotism" and kumbaya. People have been murdered in mass, and it is my community. Let us not spit on the dead and their families by giving out a few warm fuzzies which mean nothing at this moment. Let us speak in calm and truthful manner.

I believe policy and national interest is best served when from top-down, chain of command and our leaders speak the truth. We are able to handle it, we are able to process it, and we are able to continue to function within the constraints of our own laws, given truth.

Unlike my Commander in Chief, I will not speak, as if I am delivering the local weather report.

This will remain a free speech zone and we will exercise both our right and responsibility in coming days.
