You were probably living down there already, but there was a big hoopla in St. Paul about kid birthday parties. Apparently, a bunch of Highland Park parents got together and formed an anti-extravagant birthday party support group. I laughed at the whole thing. They are the parents - just say no. Do they really need the buy-in from their neighbors to reduce the obnoxiousness of their own kids' birthday parties?
