I'm a big fan of winter. However, it's been a particularly cold and snowy and often-yucky one here in Chicago, and I am done. Yesterday, another mom and I discussed the fact that we're both wearing springish clothes now because we can't take it anymore. And we bought tulips last night. They're all over the house.

I think the rebellion is in full swing here, too: I saw undergrads in tank tops and shorts today, and it was only in the 20s. I myself was ready for anything, but I can't say I didn't mind being able to run to the union in my shirtsleeves.

BS like this is why people should do a winter sport! The alternative is living in fear of cold weather for 4-5 months a year... which sucks.

Wow! I'm linked! Thanks for the honor!
I like winter, I really do. But these sad gray days of dirty snow get old. Give me temps over 25 and sun and I'm a happy woman.

I totally agree about best winter days - this weekend sounds like it's going to be great. But on the other hand, I really, really liked Thursday afternoon: snow flurries changing to something like a storm, a stiff southeasterly wind, blowing & drifting snow, low temperatures... In other words, Minnesota!

You hit the nail on the head! We live in the upper Midwest, it is supposed to be cold and snowy and wonderful for several months each year! March is usually the month with some of the heaviest snowfalls, don't put away those sleds, snowboards, and skis just yet! We're heading up to ski today again, can't wait to get on the hill! Thanks for the great reminder that winter is truly grand!
