This was certainly a "sugar snow" - the one that really gets the spring sap moving in the maple trees. Watch my sister's blog "cheescake maven" for her family's annual maple syrup adventures. It's quite the elaborate system complete with a giant galvanized steel tub for stirring the sap.

I always thought I'd make a million bucks designing Easter dresses for little girls in the Midwest - complete with long thick velvet sleeves and wool caps.
