Isn't it amazing? I get to drive my parents' when I'm in CA and I'm smitten. I would get one in a hearbeat if I could figure out how to drive the carpool with it! It's hard enough to get three booster seats into a station wagon, let alone a Prius. Sort of cancels out some of its benefit if you can't carpool anymore! But when the kids are older...

I'm glad to hear about the back-seat situation. Having been the driver each time, I haven't been able to get a sense of the spaciousness of the back. (The car's futuristic, but not THAT futuristic.) Driving it back to campus this evening, I absentmindedly lowered the driver's-side window for a bit of air, not even realizing that I knew where the switch was. The car just feels right. Like a Mac, in that sense.

50+? That makes my Civic hybrid's 43 MPG look pretty pathetic. What year is the Prius?

They're 2008s. They feel like 2018s, though.

I'm going to Sheboygan next week to visit my mom and got it in my head that I wanted to rent a Prius for the trip. Guess what? It can't be done. Hertz and Avis rent them, but not here. Enterprise won't guarantee one. Supposedly Toyota dealerships rent them, but not the ones I've called. Hour Car is too expensive. So, I guess, I won't get my chance to play.
Erin and Kurt drive one. You could ask them about the car seat situation.

Maybe you need to come to Northfield for some research. I know people. I can make things happen.
