After spending the equivalent of $7.00 a gallon for gas last year in England, even this doesn't seem so bad. We used to fill up our Rover in England for about £45, or almost an entire Ben Franklin.

Yeah, I can see a doddering society like that paying $7 a gallon, but by golly didn't we REBEL to avoid that fate?

Easy to stomach $7 gas when your entire country is the size of Minnesota, and you have wonderful trains.
