Google has taken over my life. Now I'm addicted to Google Analytics. I love to see how many visitors my blog gets from places like India and Turkey. I love seeing how many people come to my blog after searching "global warming poem." Who knew?

Google Analytics is fascinating--and weird. I wish it had some kind of personal encouragement feature: "Keep it up!" "I know your numbers are low, but they're increasing every month!" "Your paltry number of visitors is not a reflection of the brilliance and utter hilarity of your writing."
