I saw that Betchel barb directed at the Pale Hose yesterday and I just shook my head (I did chuckle we he mentioned not being able to get Monday's game - those exclusive WCIU broadcasts screw over all the out of market viewers). Then again, if any fan base is used to getting zero national media love it should be White Sox fans.
Though the annual trip to the House of Horrors brought us back down to Earth (from the Bizzaro World where Jon Garland is 4-0/ERA6), hopefully beating up on the Tigers for a few games will right things.
But damn, Ozzie still can't mamage pitchers to save his life. Oh, and I'd better not see Chris Widger at 3B come Friday.
Oh, and notes to ARow and Jermaine Dye: Catch the friggin ball!

Editing the above to read - 'Bizzaro works where garland is 4-0 and ERA under 2 while Barry Zito is 0-4 and ERA more than 6.'
Where's the 'edit post' feature on this HaloScan thingie?

As long as you are sending ARow and Dye notes, please tell them to throw the ball to the right base!
After the Cubs post season appearance in '98 and the Sosa HR explosion the Cubs closed in on 'need to win to be popular' territory. Having gone to a few games each of the last several years I've noticed the difference.

Don't you just feel so dirty after being in that Urinal on the north side with all the weeds growing on the outfield walls?
Aaron and Jermaine are definately on my shit list at the moment. They could both use some extended time with Greg Walker as well, especially Dye.

I'm fine with the weeds and the brick wall, they look nice. Other that that, the place is the dirtiest of any of the 35 MLB stadiums I've been to.

The Sox wont finish with 115+ wins (.720 winning pct) but they don't deserve the negative press. The pitching is for real.

The little pile up of minor injuries has me a little nervous, but I think they'll be fine. Then again the Sox team with the next best start (1935?)ended up finishing 19.5 games back of the Tigers...
Here's hoping we don't pull an '03 Royals with the hot start on the road to nowhere.

More from ESPN's Rob Neyer, wrong on the first but right on the second:
"Here's why I don't believe the White Sox are the best team in the American League Central: Their pitchers obviously can't keep pitching as well as they have.
