One of the most insidious ways the feminists have hurt boys is by drugging them into passivity. I can't imagine giving a child drugs like ritalin.
Children are little creatures vibrating with energy. The trick is to channel it, and to teach the child where the energy is inappropriately displayed. I have to say, one of the reasons I'm a huge, huge fan of the Montessori approach to education is that children are not chained to desks, and they are given free rein to pursue their interests. I'm convinced that ADD and ADHD are such enormous problems in traditional schools because we take these fabulous balls of energy, affix them to a desk for seven hours, and bombard them with boredom.
