Nobody knows anything. All up to this point is speculation. Even if indicted, people will get their day in court.

Here is my speculation, there is almost no way that the original law, outing undercover agent, was broken. It will be obstruction, perjury if there are indictments. However, I would not bet one way or the other on conviction. But I think there will be an indictment. Fitz will feel some pressure that his time was not wasted to come away with nothing.

What is you page about?????

BoBo (one of my kids used to call there bottle a "bobo") have you been hitting the bottle?

I agree Bill.

www.thewashingtonnote.com says that Fitgerald's office has signed a lease to expand there office space. Is it possible this investigation will grow? We shall see.

The Dems need to seize this moment and gadflyer.com touches on what needs to be done.

Twas the night before Fitzmas ...

Some Fitzmas Carols to brighten up your day...

"Rockin' around the Fitzmas tree
As we're waiting for the news.
Everyone bloggin' merrily
Will the liars pay their dues?

Rockin' around the Fitzmas tree
As the bright gold leaves do swing
Later we'll serve some humble pie
And we'll do some frog-marchin'

You will get a patriotic
feeling when you hear...
Fitzie chargin' his indictments
Happy U.S.A. excitement!

Rockin' around the Fitzmas tree
Oh, won't the day come soon?
BushCo will all dress up in orange
When Fitzie drops the boom!"

O Little Town of Washington

"O Little Town of Washington,
How still we see thee lie.
The folks below
Don't seem to know
That Fitzmas day is nigh.
The grand jury is weighing
Indictments `gainst these crooks.
Hopefully, we soon will see,
Fitzgerald throw the book!"

"Walking in a Beltway Wonderland!

Pundits talk, are you listening?
On Rove's brow, sweat is glistening.
A beautiful sight,
Fitz will indict,
Walking in a beltway wonderland!

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he is Preznit Bush.
We'll call him an indicted co-conspirator,
And then we'll start to kick him in the tush!

Can you tell, we're excited?
Just to see, who's indicted!
Those who have clout,
Will be frog-marched out,
Walking in a beltway wonderland!"

Rove's nuts roasting on an open fire
Chimpy nipping at the blow
worthless alibis being sung by the choir
And folks dressed up in prison clothes

Everybody knows frog-marching and some
resignations help to make the season bright
Happy Kossacks with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Fitzie's on his way
He's got indictments and lots of charges on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if GOPigs really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Fitzmas
Merry Fitzmas
Merry Fitzmas to you

Merry Fitzmas to all, and to all a good night!

as we can see, the Dems are delerious in their delight over this investigation. Yet no one (especially the MSM) knows what is involved. The contrarian in me is saying the the dems are going to swing from delerious to devastated. So, DDT et al, enjoy it while you can.

It's a long swing from delerious to devastated. Falling anywhere in the middle of that expanse, the administration is still looking at a helluva lot of political exposure and possible legal exposure as well.

Still, some Christmas Days are better than others, and you never know until Christmas morning whether you got something that really knocks your socks off. Before the investigation really got going I'd have thought the chances that so many top administration staffers would be staring down the barrel were slim and none. But when Ashcroft recused himself and handed the case over to Fitzgerald all of a sudden there was somebody on the job who might actually do more than jut go through the motions.

We will see. But at least for now I can believe in Santa Clause.

Gravatar Ashcroft...hmm...

Vote for a dead guy or Ashcroft?...

dead guy or Ashcroft?...

dead guy or Ashcroft?...

dead guy or Ashcroft?...

dead guy or Ashcroft?...

DEAD GUY!!

Moral of the story? Voting for a corpse is better than voting Republican.

Gravatar Looks like Scooter will be indicted tomorrow and Fitzgerald will extend the grand jury and Rove will remain under investigation.

So, not really Christmas apparently. More like Chanukah where we'll get a little present here and there rather than everything on the same day

Gravatar AVQ, looks like you're reading the NYT again. The MSM has been pushing an anti White House angle for their entire coverage of this (non)story. The fact that they've backed off of a claim for a Rove indictment tells me that there is even _less_ to this story. Everything you've read has been based on leaks, innuendo and one sided reporting.
Fitzy will NOT get an extension, this investigation of a non-crime has gone on too long and won't be tolerated any further, even by the foaming at the mouth dems.
Rove will be cleared outright. No 'continuing investigation' bull crap.

After all the reading I've done through the links I provided it looks to me like the guily ones are Val-gal and little Joey Wilson. And Scooter walks. Free and clear.

But if Libby is indicted and goes to trial maybe Justice will be as harsh on him as they were on Sandy "docs in my jocks" Berger.

Gravatar "All will be revealed. . . "

And soon I hope.

You don't sound very confident when you say "non-crime." Nor should you be.
