I'm sure the local casinos are not being hypocritical at all: they don't disapprove of gambling, they disapprove of people doing so in the comfort of their own homes, making these gambling palaces redundant. Indeed, I'm willing to be that home gambling is a wonderful thing (and I'm not a gambler), because I suspect that it does away with the really bad problems usually attendant on gambling: drunkeness and prostitution.

Bookworm,
That is why I am against online gambling, it curbs drunkeness and prostitution. What our country needs is more of both and if online poker leads to less of it then I want online poker banned...at least until online poker does something to counter its deletrious effects.
By the way John, any news on the likelyhood that this will get passed?
