Just think. If even 5% of the financial/political elite in this country who are eligible for enlistment were to volunteer to serve in Iraq, troops who are on their second or third rotation could come home. That is, if their parents didn't use their power to send other people's children to their death or mutilation instead of their own. How can we teach any other nation about freedom and equality if we don't practice it here? Somehow I don't think that there are military recruiters on the high school campuses or at the malls in these people's communities the way they are in black, hispanic, and poor white communities.
Cindy Sheehan called for one or both of the Bush twins to not only enlist, but actually serve in Iraq if this war is so needed and noble back in April '05. Yeah, like dumb and dumber would sober up long enough to make it through the ASFAB.
