I hope this action quiets things down in the Bay, removes some of the negative thinking, and will allow most of the Trustees and George to keep moving forward in keeping Barefoot Bay one in the finest places to live. We have all seen under Georges leadership, the Bay bounce back from 3 Hurricanes. Projects started & some finished that the Board was working on prior to George coming to the Bay. George is a doer so lets let him do. I, for one enjoy working with George. I am also one that was happy for the Bay he stayed, but then I'm greedy.

This litigation is needed. Some people, such as Sylvia Parish think that they can say whatever they want online. i see it all the time, even these comment sections.

Lesson: you defame someone, you can be sued for it.

Ms. Parish has often said things without thinking. She will now learn that she cannot defame a person without having to pay for her actions.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks that this is long overdue. Sylvia Parish seems to think that she can say whatever she wants to try and win an election.

Folks usually move upward in their careers. Going from Venice to a "manufactured home community" is a wonderful and rewarding challange. Would that be construed as a downward move by city fathers around the State looking for a new manager? Were Ms. Parish's comments fact-based, and were stated opinions hers or was she variously quoting from reliable sources? As long as the comments flying around that caused the lawsuit were legit in their foundation, the function of the critic was accomplished, and Mr. Hunt is just as appropriate in responding within an equal forum. Down in Vero Beach, folks like Brian Heady and Frank Zorc have gathered press and irritated politicians. On the other hand, would this lawsuit lead to something of martyr-status for Ms. Parish?

It makes one wonder if quoting from news papers is illegal. If so, millions are guilty. As far as Trustee Carillion's comment goes, Watch out BOB, (ARCC), YOU COULD BE NEXT. What would some call many of your decissions, MISTAKES OR GIFTS???
