Mark Martin should have won. He was cheated out of the win.

They swapped the lead a couple times in the short time between the beginning of the wreck and when they crossed the finish line.

The yellow flag almost never comes out instantly, so it would have come down to the reaction time of the officials and could have gone either way depending on the call.

In that case, it probably was better to just let them race to the finish and settle things on the track rather than leaving it up to human reaction, error, and bureaucracy.

You'd be writing this same column questioning the timing of freezing the field, or how boring it is to finish without "finishing."

AS FAR AS THBE RACE IS CONCERNED IT WAS THE BEST RACE AND IT WAS FINSIHED HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINISHED, THAT IS LET THEM RACE TILL THE END AND THEY DID. SECOND OF ALL WHO GETS TIRED OF THIS WANNABE SPORTS WRITER WHO COULDNT WRITE ASTORY ABOUT SOMETHING BETTER THEN A RACE THEN CRITIZE IT. FIND SOMETHING MORE TO PICK ONTHEN A RACE WON HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WON.
