"By 1963, when the festival celebrated the 125th anniversary of the city "

The city made commemorative .50 cent pieces for the event that year that were good at most stores in the city. They were gold with a cowboy boot pouring out sand on the beach. I have got two of them still.

The organizers of this event and all of the events that happen around this town are heroes. Most of the time they raise money for different causes and that makes the town even better.

Most of all Ft. Pierce would have little entertainment if it was not for these groups and we should support them each and every time an event is planned.

Thank you for all of the work and effort you expend to make these events happen and for the benefit to your organizations and the community! (kudos to all of the sponsors TOO!)
