Forgot to mention the Tiki Bar in Lauderdale which is the grandfather of them all.

Also, a forgotten fact:
Francis Langford imported experts from the Polynesian Islands to build her authentic original OUTRIGGER, and she also had them build a mini replica beside her home for private entertaining.

I doubt that Fred Ayers even knows the history of what he bought.

Read the article online. The couple at JB Pip's Tiki Bar, sure seem to be having a joyous time. While I've traveled worldwide, I don't recall ever seeing a Tiki bar, even in Fiji. It's obviously, "The In Thing," as I just read an article on Spain, touting theirs. When the snow begins piling up, here in Upstate NY, I do believe that I'll head south, and stop by JB Pip's Tiki Bar, and hope for big time laughter myself. Diane Bures

Thanks, George. It was fun sending that article to northern friends who didn't have any idea what our new business was all about. I submitted an email comment I received from one who asked me to, because she had no luck getting the website to accept it. After the article appeared, a couple Pip's regulars came up with the idea of the first annual Tiki Bar tour. What fun! Stay tuned!

I have a blast every time I go to PIPS Tiki Bar - I always meet new and old fun great people and always have something very good to eat. AND it's not just because I am the daughter of the owners. I can;t wait for the first annual tiki bar tour!!!!
