175 people? Come on Rich, that is fuzzy math, maybe 90? It was a nice, well scripted, well planned meeting and most people were on their medicati...I mean best behavior. It is unfortunate that the group has decided that you have to "drink the coolaid" and agree with all of their position points in order to join. This certainly excludes a large contingency of our residents. I guess they want to educate the public only as long as you agree with everything they have to say. Now that does not sound very American.

I counted 182 people mr.mcnicolis, we understand that you can't count just like you can't count traffic numbers. Between the Consensus, the people and the economy, you should be in fear, in the future, you may actually have to pay for some of those things taxpayers pay for today. I counted 4 pave over everything green in the crowd, so that makes 178. Rich is pretty close.
Keep trying to spin the truth, we know who you are bert, you can't hide.
Good opinon this time Mr. Campbell, fair and balanced.

The consensus put a great group of people together that are truly concerned with the preservation of Martin County. Ginny and Maggie were fantastic speakers and we appreciate them dearly. We have to continue to work together to keep Martin County special and to not be intimidated by the machine. I would also like to especially thanks Sarah Heard for coming. Where were the other four???

My name is not Tom, Betty. Although it is unfortunate that you have pigeon-holed people already. I thought this group was supposed to have a broad consensus and was there to educate all. Not just denegrate and name call. Oh well...

Betty
I thought Bert Harris was Wayne Tillon. Although Wayne Tillon could also very well by Tom. Who knows? It is like playing developer musical chairs combined ith "what's my line" at the same time. This handful of land planners and developer consultants who post change their handles so often there is just no way to keep up. Although I guess that is why they do it. Duck Duck Goose

Betty, why in the world would you ever want to pigeon hole the lovely Mr. Harris?

Plus, it is kind of hard to pigeon hole someone who changes their identity on a weekly basis. Unless of coarse you pigeon hole them as someone with a multiple personality disorder.

Could it be that Rich has finally educated himself and done some investigative reporting and found out:

That little Nicky's firm gave $60,000 to the Political Action Committee which ran all those negative ads against Sara Heard in the 2006 campaign?

Or that he regularly reprensents developers' interest?

I saw Dan Martinelli speak at Tuesday's commission meeting, unfortunately he failed to mention the Treasure Coast Wildlife Foundation whose address is the same as the Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital and has Little Nicky as vice president and Toby as President not to mention Fred von V. on the Board.

I'm sorry if you want to speak out as a private citizen you can, but as private citizens we can give our donations to a charity that has less political board members.

Billy, they are so scared to expose themselves it is funny. It is always the same 3 or 4 of them that show up at these meetings, yet our crowds continue to grow. I see the 30 year mortgage is up to 6.60% today, Lennar and Pulte's stocks are being pounded. This must be depressing news for the destoryers.

I also find it ironic that they can poke fun and call people names but when you do it to them they get SO offended. I know Bert isn't Bert, you can tell how people write, they write just like they speak. Wyane Tillion, whoever, they are all the same.

My God Mrs. Smith, great find. Why has our press not exposed these facts? I just looked up that for myself in the state records and it is true. We are being swindled. These people create entities with the front of being preservationists and low density, yet they are represented by developers and they give their money for development.
It would be curious to see what the records for the Treasure Coast Wildlife Foundation show? What type of entity are they? They appear to be a PAC for developers. I wonder if those who donate to them are aware of this? I suspect their could be fraud involved. Hmmmm

Thanks Jen
I was going to name names but I took a deep breath and did some editing. I am glad you did not. There are a few more I wish you had mentioned but thanks for mentioning the ones you did. I am with you. I love what he hospital does but I hate that they are now in bed with those who contribute so much to displacing the wildlife in the first place. That whole arrangement is the very definition of "strange bed fellows".

Little Nicky (I love that) signed his post last week to Martinelli's pro clustering editorial as the Pres. of the Treasure Coast Wildlife Foundation and conveniently left out Pres. of McNicoles and Assc representative and PR for Centex. I brought it to light and was promptly scolded by little Nicky, Martinalli, and a few others. I also expressed my opinion the hospital was being used as nothing less than an environmental shield for the Palm City Chamber to hide behind. They did not like that either. Oh well, how will I ever sleep at night.

Well what do you know, the Executive Board and Directors of the Palm City Chamber of Commerce has Toby listed as President, Little Nicky and Mike Diterlizzi on it and Don Cuozzo.

I wonder if they plot strategy there?

Hi this is Bert. Billy (or should I say Pauline, or Donna or Bill?) or Jen or Betty (Sarah?) - yeah, you all use your real names...you put a lot of credence into your opinions. I can certainly accept that the "Consensus" has some valid points, but when you denegrade, degrate, slander, and spit you are not doing your organization justice. You have taken a positive about your organization and you went ugly. I am big girl, I mean boy and I can take it, so let's have some fun. After it's all done, I hope that the winner is the people of Martin County and not just a couple of dominant egos.

When did you ever hear me say it was my group. I can not speak for Betty or Jen but I have not heard them say it is their group either. The only one I heard say that went to any meetings was you. I speak for myself and myself alone. As far as getting "ugly" who started out with the ("fuzzy math, well scripted, on their medicati, drink the coolaid") stuff. Oh, that's right it was you. But your a big boy, I mean girl, I mean muppet, so I am sure you can handle the backlash from your own comments. If you can't, then don't make em'. Are you going back to Wayne next week?

I simply do not know why they bother to waste the time having these meeting. The commissioners have all the tools to stop urban/suburban sprawl and they just don't use them.

Everyone knows that the Browardization of Martin is underway and will not be stopped or even significantly slowed by those in the big padded chair who represent the developers' interests, not the citizens. It is futile to try to stop it.

What happens in these meetings is irrelevant, meaningless. It's just theatre of the absurd diverting attention from reality.

Because David, we have nowhere else to go. So, like the Indians, we will stay and fight till the death. The 4 sleeze balls live here, they have to see us everyday. They can't walk where they live anymore becuase they are disliked, they can't even go to the bathroom in pubic without being harrassed. We can stop them, it has happened before. The economy is killing them right now, people in Martin County are different, you will see.
The Pacific Legal group, and all the others are irrelevant.

Pat Arena got up week after week and questioned the value of fluoride; Commissioners Weberman and Heard both switched from their previous pro fluoride stance [4-1 pro] and voted against adding fluoride [3-2 defeat].

Pat taught us all that one person can make a difference. Don't give up now; '08 is just aroung the corner.

Chuck

Again, I can not speak for the Consensus, but from I have read it seems to be about building consensus amoung all the various groups and citizens that feel the county is being exploited by developers and a developer backed commission. Not about building consensus between the exploiters and the exploitees. The "wedge of division" that exists now is based on the persuit of money above all other and as long as greed rules the day that wedge is not going away any time soon.

Consensus is a socialist term meaning all that are in the room or at least most will agree on a designated outcome and will say the consensus of the majority is in agreement. The majority in the room in no way represents the majority of all involved. It is the majority of a minority that assumes it will govern.

From now on I will dumb down my posts to a third grade level and restrict myself to the use of the word "idiot" when describing anyone who disagrees with me. Chuck believes that those with money get to make all the decisions, just like they did in the Soviet Union. Sorry Chucky, we still have the right to petition, free speech and carry arms in this country. You have taken that away from us yet.
You are scared, and you should be, your kind is being defeated all around the country.
