It's interesting that all the book listed above are original english language manga comissioned by Tokyopop (except for Princess Ai, which is a manga drawn by a Japanese manga-ka, but also comissioned by Tokyopop). I guess they are trying to get away from licensed manga, now that licenses are getting more expensive.

I found it a little interesting how many of them read left to right instead of right to left. I guess that's an artifact of them being commissioned in English.

Given the choice between samplers, I think I prefer Viz's phonebook magazines to Tokyopop's free stuff. But then, you get what you pay for.
