Dude! Man, no, sorry. You being "American" has nothing to do with you being clueless about the rest of the world. We aren't all like that. And it's not a requirement to be aware of WTF is going on in Libya, for Christ's sake. You're responsible for your own sphere of influence, and after you've gotten everything in your immediate universe under control and heading in the right direction, then you begin expanding the sphere. You should not feel guilty about not knowing what was going on in AFRICA when you live Half a World away. I'm sure there are plenty of valid things you should feel guilty about, but being an American, and being ignorant of WTF goes in Libya are not of them.

I suppose someone should note for your commenter that the country in question on Jon Stewart's show is LIBERIA (one the west coast of Africa, populated in large part by former American slaves), NOT LIBYA (Arab country on the Mediterranean across from Italy).
