I'm not very familiar with the ins and outs of computers. I've used an image from this site in my message board signature in the past using url which I didn't realize was a no-no and won't do again. Is it possible to use an image from this site for my sig without using your bandwith. If so, how? I'd love to use one of the neat old Aquaman pannels, but not at your expense (literaly).

You should find a site that will host images, there are many of them out there, some free, and copy the image you want to use to that site. A lot of ISP accounts give you some free web space, so you can put the images there.

Another choice is to use my image AND put a link back to my site. If I see my image alone, I'll be annoyed, but if I see a linkback, I'll probably let it go unless it's a huge bandwidth drain (although, if it's a huge bandwidth drain, you're probably sending a lot of traffic my way, so I would probably still let it go).

The site I blocked yesterday was a fairly high traffic site, so the images were taking a lot of my bandwidth away. Since I have to pay for overage on my bandwidth, and there was no linkback that I could find, I decided to block them from using my images.
