Gravatar Laura,

Just checking out this splash page from Adventure #220. Is this the first time that Aquaman's calf fins are shown to be part of his body as opposed to just part of his costume? I always thought that was a "Legend of Aquaman" development. I could swear that Nick Cardy drew an undercover Arthur (Mr. Waterman, heehee) sans the fins in the Huntress from O.G.R.E. issue.

Is Adventure #220 considered a Golden Age tale? Maybe the GA Aquaman had the fins, the Silver Age lacked them , and they were brought back for the Modern Age.

Interesting ...

Gravatar As much as I'd like to take this theory and run with it... he's shown later in the story without the leg fins. Very clearly, in fact.

The appearance of the leg fins on the splash page was probably an artist error (sorry Ramona).
