Gravatar Great paragraph.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gravatar Right back at you (somewhat belatedly), Hill. Thanks for stopping by.

Gravatar Ahab,
I just couldn't agree more. The blogs and the ability to quickly access information from a wide variety of scholars, news organizations, and perspectives has really changed my life politically and intellectually. There is really no excuse for the dean, or any of these other well paid pundits, for continuing to publish these "politics 'n economics is hard" pieces. The audience is moving on, dividing into people who would rather not know what is going on at all, so don't read the damn columns or watch the tv shows, or people who do want to know and put themselves to the trouble to follow stuff up with the real experts who can be found freely giving their information and analysis on the web.

My thanks to everyone out there for all their hard work explicating the difficult political and economic stuff, kicking around ideas, and pushing for change. As Jane Hamsher, Athenae and Digby always say (in their various ways) Citizenship is not a spectator sport. I'd add--but it is for amateurs and we beat the professionals all hollow.
