I'm 100% in favor of agitating for impeachment, and 100% opposed to any practical step in that direction. I think the rhetoric serves our purposes, so long as we don't start believing it.

As for impeachment: I doubt that it will ever go anywhere given the sentiments of the Democratic leadership, and even if it did, the Prez and Veep must be impeached together. Impeaching one...or the other would improve things not at all.

My sentiments exactly. But I think both you and I will soon be able to start lowering that second "100%" ... I think the general mood may be changing ...

This Great Prediction is based on an extremely small, biased example: I was watching the LA Book Fair speakers on CSPAN today; I couldn't help noticing that Chris Hedges -- who spoke eloquently, forcefully and often about impeachment -- received great applause every time.
