Democratic men are by definition 'girlymen'; that's the lens through which the news media see the party. 'Oprahesque' just sort of embellishes on the stupid.
It's not like I'm unaccustomed to the "girlyman" thing, but to interrupt this fascinating and real conversation with that statement was just egregious.
And of course, if McCain had the very same conversation, it would be all mavericky and butch and shit.
Its not that he talked to them that makes it "oprah-esque" its that he *tried to listen* to them.
