Random question, but at least somewhat photo-related: Was the picture at the top of the blog taken in Chicago? Whenever I look at it, I have a deep visceral feeling that it's Chicago (where I grew up), and I'm wondering if I'm right.

San Francisco! Now that's a surprise. The brick buildings and low skyline remind me very much of the northwest bits of Chicago. And it looks so flat! Although I should have remembered that it's mostly streets and not avenues that are numbered in Chicago -- googling would have tipped me off that there is no 16th Ave. at all. Oh well, thanks for the reply.
