Would love for them to be brave and invite Bettye LaVette to perform on that show. She would TAKE the show...forget Fantasia, etc.

It's strange that they invite people like Faith Hill and not LaVette, who goes waaaaay back to Detroit with Franklin and is probably the most dynamic stage performer working today. With Bettye AND Fantasia working the same stage -- THAT would make for an exciting show.

It seems that they have lost the idea of having an exciting tribute, just showcasing who is selling records at the moment.

I'm assuming you mean it will be televised - that would be a great view!

Before what Grammy's...you're assuming the strike will be settled. Could that also affect this show?
