It's my understanding that Open Trackback posts do not have to be linked to anything. A blogger can host open trackbacks at their place and it's up to the rest of the blogosphere to link to it if they want.

There ARE groups like Samantha Burns Open Trackback Alliance, where those who are approved by Sam to join, must follow HER rules.

As for the LinkFest Haven, it's my understanding that Ferdinand the Cat does all the work for the bloggers, providing the blog URL's and the trackback URL's.

That has nothing much to do with a single blog hosting an Open Trackback post, does it?

Please note that I did not request advice from you and that perhaps you should be a little more courteous to someone hosting a tb party.

I would advise that you not ever tb to my site again.
