Generals Clark, Zinni, and Shinseki are all full four-star generals. A major general is just a two-star. You might want to edit your otherwise excellent blog.

Excellent post. Those defending Rumsfeld need to explain what exactly it is Rumsfeld has accomplished. There's not much they can say. One reason Rep. Murtha spoke up last fall was because he was getting reports from insiders that the wheels were coming off the military due to Rumsfeld's incompetence.
I suspect not just Iraq but Iran figures in all this but that's a more complicated story.
