Gravatar Great photos, great critters, great climate. I'm turning green — not being eco-friendly, mind you, but with jealousy. It's still cold, windy and mostly gray skies here.

Nonetheless, I'm happy for you and Sheila. Looks like a wonderful and memorable experience.

Gravatar Hi Terrell
Flattery will get you everywhere!
Your birds - as best as I can tell are:
Brown Pelican.
Magnificent Frigatebird.
Social Flycatcher.
Not sure what the silhoutte is - sorry!
Osprey.
Tourquoise-browed Motmot.
Tropical Mockingbird (x2)
Great-tailed Grackle.
Aninga or a Cormorant (can't quite tell)

Hope that helps!

Charlie

Gravatar Thanks, Charlie! I have added your IDs to the post.

Gravatar Hi Terrell,
I am getting submissions already for the June carnival. I think perhaps they may be meant for Charlie.

I have gotten a few that are just way off-base as far as topic goes. Should I just ignore them, or write to the folks who submitted and explain why the post is not appropriate?

Here is an example:

Thanks!
Tricia

Gravatar Tricia -

If someone is just confused, send an e-mail. But some are just obvious spam, IMHO. In that case, I would just ignore them, I think.

Yes, send any on to Charlie that you think he might use.

10,000 Birds has a very big readership. I hope the May edition will stir up lots of submissions for you for June.

Thank you for taking another turn at hosting!

Gravatar Great photos! We're bird fans at our house -- these are very nice!

Gravatar Wonderful bird pix, terrell. The Louisiana birds wouldn't let me get half that close to them!

Gravatar Thanks, Valeree and Granny, for taking a look at the pics. Granny the 12X zoom on my little Canon lets me get "virtually" closer than i'd ever get otherwise!
