2 - i can't tell you the second one cuz Travis will kick my fully-pantied ass from here to....Kentucky!! :P

I am LOVINGK ON YOU! You are a very good sewing person, I am very impressed. I do not sew. My machine hates me; the one time I tried sewing (a soft deerskin doll, sewn by hand) I stuck my thumb and it got infected. So I am very admiring of people who a) are just learning; and b) can fudge around with patterns and fix mistakes already! Very cool!!

Hey Alyson...welcome back...glad to hear you're feeling better! I friended Travis in Rav...LOL You're his project? Too cute! Did you add him to YOUR projects? LOL
i think th skirt came out pretty good for having saved it. I would again recommend that favorite things cute skirts pattern. There is no zipper, the only part of the elastic you see is in the back and the front has a smooth flat wasitband. It's paneled so you can work on your seams and do french seams if youw ant to hide them. It is easy to assemble and make with in 2 hours. The only hard part measuring with the grain for each panel and there's a lot of panels. I would say give it a try and see if you have success and you can learn to stitch in the ditch on it too.
