Wow, I had no idea about Anita, maybe I should get out more often? That's really sad, she had an effect on me, helping me become more conscious of what I buy and where it comes from.
I have the same mac/pc issue - colours are so off on the pc, I think I better check out jiva's link.

I have to second the opinion on Malabrigo. I simply does not hold up well in garments. So sad. It gets EXTREMELY pilly.

I think, maybe, you could knit the ribbing with a smaller needle. It is going to be very elastic. Smaller needle = less pilling in the end, so that's what you want. Did you wash your swatch when you checked your gauge? Washing might make it expand.
heh. You prolly didn't even swatch, did you? :D

Malabrigo is one of my most favorite yarns ever and if I could do nothing but roll around naked in it for the rest of my life, that would be fulfilling to me. But, and I say this with sadness, I have found that it does not hold up well. Being a single-ply merino, it pills so easily. I knit some wristwarmers out of it and they looked like garbage before I even bound-off, totally pilly just from carrying them around.
I picked up some Rowan Yorkshire Tweed that I am hoping to use for Juno. It's no Malabrigo, but it's sturdy so I don't have to worry about it pilling up after putting so much work into something (I too plan to wear it as outerwear so not worried about next to the skin scratchiness).
Nowadays, I will only use Malabrigo for scarves & hats and other items that don't see heavy friction. However, if you decide to forge ahead, I know it will look gorgeous and feel heavenly, so maybe just arm yourself with a lint shaver and enjoy every minute of knitting with that butter!

I was sad to hear about Anita Roddick myself. The Body Shop's products were the only scented items that I was able to use when I was younger and their hair care products didn't make me break out in hives. I even worked for The Body Shop when I was older, and (except for my crappy boss) I loved every minute of it. I was sad to see their products start going down hill sometime when she sold the name in the late 90's.. it didn't seem true to her vision anymore.
