Words for the YoYo
YES to all you and my predecessors said. And yes, the "Amendment #2" bit will be ground under and in time, all people will have the right to marry as they will (and get all of the legal benefits thereof). This IS a Most Historic time...I blogged about it too, writing another letter to my (deceased) black husband, whose reaction I know. It's going to take some rolling-up of sleeves, but our words now are HOPE! and CHANGE! and we can use words like "future" again. My little brown grandson will have to have it explained to him WHY this was so momentous; by the time he's voting, I hope that race, gender and sexual orientation are absolute non-issues. We're on the right path. I can say with absolute certainty, the black rosettes left on my husband's back by the electric cattle prods in 1963 were NOT in vain. These are good times. Good times.

I cried, too. Today I am celebrating Obama's victory. Tomorrow I lament the passing of Amendment 2. I worked at the polls yesterday to urge people to vote No on 2. The response was very positive. We'll get there someday.

Wow, just wow. What a historical moment! I saw it too and blubbered for 10 minutes - this moment gives hope to people around the world.
D#$% Amendment 2 but wow...what a night!!!!! I woke from a doze to find them declaring the election and for a moment I thought I was dreaming.
I cried for 20 minutes straight and then went right to post about it. I will never forget where I was at that moment, as mundane as the answer is.
It's kinda like Christmas, only better. :P
So proud of everyone over there who voted for hope. The most historically significant thing I have witnessed in my lifetime. The rest of the free world thanks you!
