I've never been to Seattle (always wanted to though), nor will I be there when you are. But I wish you lots of luck with the conference, and lots of fun where-ever you can find it - particularly if that involves yarny goodness

Family in Seattle, love that city, but I live in NoCal so . . . have a great time, and everyone's right, Pike Place Market is a great experience. Have crumpets and tea just across the street from them and eat one for me--I love them!! Blackberry jam!!

Ooh Pike's Place is cool! Even if you don't make it to the shop, wander around the marketplace for a bit. It's pretty cool. Have fun!

Oh I was just in Seattle two weeks ago(I don't live in the area though). And I think I know the yarn store your talking about http://www.somuchyarn.com/ I highly recommend that one! It was great, and the ladies were so friendly. If you go to Pike Place Market, you must get the chocolate pasta - to die for
