Yeah, I was reading this article, too.
Giving up land would be a sizable amount of cherished investment for Israel. He really should have gone to the throat in regard to water usage. Immediate steps could be taken...like yesterday...when it comes to the fact that one person cannot have the water he or she has always had, which was stolen the minute an invader moves in.
Sorry for the almost non-complying English usage here, but loftiness from my president makes me want to spit.

I certainly agree that he could and should have gone further. I was just so shocked to hear him say something mediatory on the subject!
Still , that's of little comfort to those that are suffering right now...

I agree on both points.

As I understand from a friend who was listening to the news today, Bush said that the United Emirates are a 'fine example of democracy at its best.'
hahahahahaha

There has been some improvement but calling them 'a fine example of democracy' is taking things a little too far...

I don't think United Emiretes call themselves a democracy. I think it is a Federal constitutional monarchy. The pres should try to get it right.

I still don't think the two state solution will work. Not that Bush is really concerned about the Palestinians.
Maybe a solution like what Europe has moved to will be the best solution.
But, I won't hold my breath.

Bush forgot to call for an end to all jewish settlements in palestinian territory:

Furthermore, it would seem, that a 'contiguous state' would mean first of all coming to an agreement with the democratically-elected Hamas government, and secondly somehow physically attaching Gaza to the West Bank. What does Bush propose, other than sound bites?

Yea. I don't know who Hill will talk with as pres. She says she ain't talking with no Hamas folk, that fo' sho'. Can we pin a different name of his lapel at that international conference she is planning?
One person can be Yassin. Another can be Mashaal, another Abbas, yet another Zahar and how 'bout another person wear a lapel nametag of al-Rantissi.
I recant Hill ever saying she won't speak with the head of the Palestinian gov. But, it would get great coverage to have so many former but now murdered leaders names going around the convention center.
Surely, it must be a crime of the people, but if they would let up for a day in the name of...should I say...pokin it to the overlords?
