Nice pieces! I’m a “shade tree” artists who failed to utilize a scholarship to the Savanna College of Art and Design that I won in a state-wide contest in high school. After all these years, I still fight the urge to kick myself. I suppose that my vocation of architecture must suffice.
I’m of two minds with respect to “selfishness”. On principle, I’m loath to advocate the use of force to extract charity. Personally though, a charitable nature is a byproduct of my spiritual regeneration.

That's evocative, T.F.
The last person who painted something that gave me this sort of heart-too-full, raised-hair sensation was my husband. For Mother's Day last year, he painted an acrylic entitled, "The Mother." It stole my breath.
This painting of yours just brought joyful tears to my eyes and lightened my heart. Thank you for sharing it.
