On the other hand, I can understand not making the law retroactive.
Except in this particular case the reason for the special session legislation was to deal with the Freeport issue, as a means to halt it in its tracks before the "theft" could be completed. As soon as the Kelo Vs New London Supreme Court decision was handed down, the City Manager put it into high gear on the condemnation of the property. The only way to stop this travesty is for the legislation to specifically include the Freeport land deal. Thanks for your comment.
