This is me resisting the temptation to give a lecture on the use of however. In a nutshell, you're doing okay. However, never use it in the middle of a sentence.

Thanks for the mild lecture. I have given many English teachers a run for their money, all the while tossing long established standards for writing aside in favor of random chaos.
