Good thoughts, TF. We are as free as we are due to the sacrifices of many brave souls. I, too, hope we consider this on Memorial Day (and at other times as well) and that we try to be the sort of people who would also couragously sacrifice for freedom for others. We may or may not be called upon to do so, but we should seek to develop that kind of character.
T.F. that's a story of real courage. Yes I hope we do honor the past fallen. And, even more so, that we honor the returning heroes who are living a not-so-comfortable existence to say the least over there in Iraq. And who've seen plenty of their friends killed too! I worry that CodePink and co. are going to make their homecoming miserable!

Honoring Memorial Day is an individual issue and so, as much as the anti-military folks make my blood boil, the gratitude I have for those who have stepped up to the line and paid the price more than out weighs such an annoyance.
