The author is confusing a servant with a slave. This is quite common but not correct.
Servant may conjour up a vision of a lacky running six steps behind the master. But if we stop and reflect on how one Serves, this vision shifts from lacky to someone who is helpful. How do we deal with someone that is helpful and a leader? Most will respond positively. Is that not the results we would hope for.
Being a servant-leader is not as the writer states like a drug dealer and the servant must get him his drugs.
